The Library of Congress "is not aware of any copyright protections or any other restrictions on the materials in the Work Projects Administration Poster Collection." However, since many of these posters have been lost (except in black and white photographic form), the screens restored by us do have copyright protection. Anyone is free to use the original materials to reproduce posters.

Our philosophy is to keep these images as close to their original form as possible so we have not licensed any images to other items like t-shirts and coffee mugs. Many people are now taking the LOC images and placing them on anything that might sell--we feel this cheapens this rare art, the artists, and the National Parks themselves.

The original 14 WPA images posted on this website are copyrighted as derivative art. We own outright the copyrights on all contemporary WPA style posters. If you find our artwork on anything but this site, please report it here and we will send you a set of our bumper stickers. One exception is the National Park bookstores and cooperating associations that list our products on their websites.
